My Research

Additive Manufactured Fiber Reinforced Polymers

I am a graduate research assistant working in the Polymer Composite Additive Manufacturing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My background in is mechanical engineering and my research studies the thermal expansion of fiber-reinforced polymer composites created using large-format additive manufacturing. The goal of this research is to better aid in the design, function, and production of additively manufactured tools.

My research is funded through the Southeastern Advanced Machine Tools Network here at the University of Tennessee. SEAMTN aims to bring the USA back to the forefront of machining research. This organization is made up of several industrial partners, universities, and graduate students with a multitude of projects across advanced manufacturing.
